Chair: Frances Oldham QC
Frances was appointed as Queen's Counsel in 1994 and sits as a Deputy High Court Judge (Family Division) and Crown Court Recorder. She specialises in complex and serious cases involving criminal and child law. She also has extensive experience in mental health and sexual abuse cases.
Alyson has a background in social work. She runs the Fatality Review and Investigation Studies Team at the University of Dundee and leads Serious Case Reviews into child abuse. She also has expertise in setting up and conducting public inquiries.
Sandy Cameron CBE
Sandy is a former Director of Social Work in Scotland, and Chairman of the Parole Board. He also has expertise in residential child care and fostering services and currently works for a company providing these services in Scotland.
Barristers Patrick Sadd and Harriet Jerram of Outer Temple Chambers in London will act as legal advisors to the Panel.
Legal firm Eversheds LLP will be responsible for day to day management of the Inquiry.
